Fertilizing

The fertilization process is used to encourage growth, maintain plant health, and ensure your vegetation management investment is preserved. When you fertilize your vegetation, whether you use organic or synthetic fertilizer, you supply the chemicals that plants need to grow and thrive.

Through soil testing, Pineview will discover any soil deficiencies and bring in nutrients as needed to resolve any shortcomings.

Fertilization is an essential component of maintaining healthy and fast-growing vegetation. But proper fertilization means applying the right nutrients at the right time and at the right rate.

When nutrients are applied at the wrong time, they can leach into the groundwater, causing problems while not providing maximum aid to the plants. As an example, fertilizers containing nitrogen should be applied primarily during the spring, the period of maximum uptake. Factors that affect vegetation's response to fertilizer include root distribution, water availability, and temperature, all of which are in constant flux. That's why we recommend testing your soil every year to determine the right fertilizer mix for each type of vegetation.

At Pineview, we consider the growth pattern of each crop or plant to determine when it is most in need of nutrients. By anticipating the crop's development from the germination phase onward, we can best time fertilizer application to maximize plant growth.
