What's the deal with Glyphosate? 🌱

Winter Construction & Erosion Control

Stabilization is the most important control measure, no matter what time of year it is. Keeping dirt in its place will prevent failure later on.

Consider these
tips & tricks for lasting erosion

control through the winter:

  • Dormant Seeding: Using hydromulch & seed mixes to stabilize soil while the ground is frozen.
  • Identify Problem Areas: What areas will be subject to erosion during Spring run-off? Concentrate on those areas!
  • Soil Prep: Before winter seeding, be sure to prep your soil by rough grading or harrowing in order to guarantee success after seeding.

There has always been a long standing debate about the use of glyphosate (RoundUp).

Here's some quick facts published by CropLife Canada:

  • Glyphosate has a lower toxicity than common items, including table salt, caffeine, vanilla, and vitamin D3.
  • Before any pesticide can be sold or used in Canada, it undergoes specific tests to evaluate the potential for it to cause human reproductive or developmental disorders.
  • 160 regulatory agencies around the world agree glyphosate is safe when used according to label directions.
